Armed robber raids post office
The owner of the post office in St.Johns was threatened and tied up by a robber armed with a knife and a handgun.
The suspect entered St Johns post office in St Johns Road, Woking, at about 0730 GMT, overpowering the owner.
When a second member of staff arrived, they were also threatened and forced into a back room.
Police said the male offender then spent some time searching the premises, leaving with a quantity of cash more than an hour later.
The suspect is described as white, about 5ft 11in tall and of a stocky build. He was wearing dark-coloured clothing and a balaclava.
Det Sgt Colin Pirie said: "We believe the suspect left the scene on foot, so I'm urging anyone who saw a man matching the description to get in touch.
"It is also possible that he discarded his balaclava and dark clothes nearby, so if you find any suspicious clothing in the St Johns area please let us know."
